Paul Pathy, President and CEO of Fednav, Canada’s largest dry bulk shipping company, has officially taken over as BIMCO Chairman. The two-year term of Nikolaus Sch ü es, former Chairman and CEO of German shipowner F. Laeisz, has expired.

After a two-year tenure, the CEO of Fednav Canada, who has been in charge since 2017, has officially completed the transfer of power. Former Chairman Nikolaus Sch ü es will continue to serve on the board for two years, while Ioanna Procopiou, a director of Prominence Maritime Shipping Company in Greece, has been elected as the new Chairman elect.
