Maersk launches new trans Pacific route

On June 12th, the reporter learned from Maersk Group that Maersk has recently launched the TP9 route from eastern China through Northeast Asia to the west coast of the United States. The TP9 route has a port of call sequence of Xiamen Busan Long Beach Xiamen, and is part of the “Gemini” shipping network jointly operated by Maersk and Hapag Lloyd. It will serve as a supplement to Maersk’s existing trans Pacific shipping services.
The TP9 route provides customers with more efficient sea freight services with shorter transportation times, helping customers improve the resilience of their supply chain. Among them, the travel time from Busan to Long Beach is 14 days; In addition, the route also provides 18 day direct service from Xiamen to Long Beach. It is reported that the TP9 route’s eastward voyage departing from Xiamen is scheduled to make its maiden voyage on June 24th, while the westward voyage departing from Long Beach is expected to make its maiden voyage on July 15th.
