The daily vessel traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has decreased to 5

According to data released by the international shipping information platform “Maritime Traffic Website” on July 31st, the number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz on the 30th decreased from 22 the previous day to 5, a decrease of 77%.
According to the platform’s data, all five ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz via the Iranian side channel.
On the 30th, international market service agency Kepler Company posted on social media that ongoing maritime safety risks, war insurance costs, and other factors seem to have become the main obstacles restricting crude oil exports from the Gulf region.
According to the data from the “Maritime Traffic Website”, navigation in the Mandeb Strait remains relatively active, with a total of 47 ships passing through on the 30th, of which 27 entered the Red Sea and 20 sailed away. Some analysts believe that although both the Strait of Hormuz and the Strait of Mandeb remain navigable, the selection of shipping routes and operational risks are still closely related to changes in regional security situations.
