On October 11th, it was learned from Zoomlion that the world’s largest all terrain crane with a tonnage of 4000 tons, independently developed by Zoomlion, has recently been produced in Changsha, Hunan Province. This is the second time that Zoomlion has broken the world record in this field after building world-class crane equipment with 2000 tons and 2400 tons. This heavy machinery has achieved multiple “industry firsts” in the field, including the highest technological content, strongest lifting performance, the most coverage of wind power lifting conditions, and the most convenient transition construction.

It is reported that all terrain crane is a high-performance equipment that combines the characteristics of automobile crane and off-road crane. It can quickly transfer and travel long distances like a car crane, while also meeting the operational requirements on narrow, rugged, or muddy terrain.

The 4000 ton all ground crane we developed this time is mainly tailored for the installation of super large and ultra-high wind turbines on land. It can install wind turbines of 6 to 10 megawatts and is the only all ground crane in the industry that can meet the installation of wind turbines at a height of 185 meters, “said Luo Xianzhi, Director of the R&D Center of Zoomlion Engineering Crane Branch.

The 4000 ton all ground crane is also equipped with a standard 3-meter-wide 10 bridge all ground chassis design, which innovates multiple advanced technologies such as high integration design of the whole machine and smooth and safe operation control of the long flexible large inertia boom. It is also equipped with the industry’s strongest load-bearing axle independently developed by Zoomlion. Its offline production will lead the world’s all ground cranes into a new era of 4000 tons, “said Luo Xianzhi.

It is also reported that the Zhonglian Smart Industry City Crane Machinery Park has recently opened. With the opening of the world’s first intelligent park covering all components and processes of wheeled cranes, the four main engine parks of the Smart Industry City have been completed and put into operation.

As of now, the Industrial City has innovated over 150 industry-leading technologies, gathered 12 globally leading intelligent factories, 20 unmanned “black light” production lines, 300 industry-leading intelligent production lines, over 2000 industrial robots, more than 700 patented technologies for production lines, and 1 international standard secretariat. In the Zhonglian Smart Industry City, through the deep integration of digital technologies such as intelligent scheduling, industrial AI, digital twins, and full process intelligent logistics with manufacturing, Zhonglian Heavy Industry Science and Technology can achieve an average of one excavator being produced every 6 minutes, one scissor type high-altitude work machine being produced every 7.5 minutes, one crane being manufactured every 18 minutes, and one boom pump truck being built every 27 minutes.
